King K'aale Zarkon Lessat, ruler of most of the Denubian Galaxy, entered Castle Doom with the air of a man who had the whole cosmos in his hand - which he did.
His step was quick and confident like a much younger man. He walked down the wide halls in victory, knowing that everything was now in place.
His armies were ready to start occupying Arus immediately. All he had to do was give the word, and they would descend upon Arus like locusts. Yes, without Voltron to get in the way, it would be easy. As for The Garrison and their pitiful Alliance - he had Keith Akira, pilot of black lion, leader of the Voltron Force - and possessor of Garrison codes and plans.
His medbot informed him that Akira was resisting the interrogation nanoprobe - possibly due to the psychological trauma of the explosion. However- they were making progress-the nanoprobes were slowly breaking down his mental barriers. Soon, Zarkon would have the information he needed to make The Garrison and the Alliance fall to their knees!
The Alliance-yes,that had been the large thorn in his side, but no more. He had the heart of the Alliance- Princess Allura, in his chambers! With Allura and Arus in his possession, the Alliance would fall apart in total chaos. It had been Allura who had pulled them all together, this Zarkon knew. He, Z'aale Zarkon - plucked the rose from the thorns! He felt like laughing! He hadn't been this happy in years! And it was all just a twist of fate! He didn't plan on capturing any prisoners - especially of the likes of Allura and Keith Akira! When he saw them brought in, he could hardly believe his good fortune. After so many defeats at the hands of Voltron, these two prisoners practically fall into his lap! Perhaps the ancient Drule god of war, K'aynn'u was with him at last. He could now clamp down on the worlds in his grip. But first, he would have a very pleasant diversion this evening with a certain Princess.
Marrying the princess had been a impulsive move on his part. It was something he didn't ordinarilly do, but when he saw her brought in, he saw a way to punish his foolish son for defying him. Marrying Allura brought him Arus and all its' riches-it would also bring him great pleasure.
He now would carry out- in a fashion, the threat he had made to her father, Alfor, on the eve of their final battle. His only regret tonight was that Alfor wouldn't be here to see his enemy, Zarkon posess his daughter, but perhaps whatever hell Alfor was now, he would know-and be anguished!
Although he would never admit this to anyone, Zarkon faced this evening with much anticipation. He hadn't been intimate with any woman in a long time. It wasn't that he wasn't interested, it was just trying to defeat Voltron took up all his time and energy....And besides looking at Hagar all day would kill anyone's sex drive! ...
He was also discrimating, unlike his son, who took any slave that met his fancy. Although Lotor loved Allura from the first time they met, it was Zarkon who saw and desired her beauty first. Unlike his son, he never let his feelings get in the way of ruling a vast empire. That was why Lotor made such stupid mistakes.
...Lotor, thought Zarkon, was like his mother - weak...
Tonight would be his and Allura's. Tommorrow, he would let his son know every small detail. Perhaps he would fling her night-garment in his son's face, letting him smell his scent upon it see her virginal blood, and know that his father did posess the one he loved. Ah! How that would give him anguish!!!
Yes, it was subtle but it would work on Lotor's mind very well.He hoped everything was ready. It had better be. He hoped that Allura had taken the Bride's Wine that was brought from the pleasure planet of Tyrus. It would not take much. Unlike other wines that made one lethargic, this wine made all the senses come alive and brought out the sexual feelings into prominence. Bride's Wine affected each person differently, depending on their personality - an interesting side effect of the drug was that it permanently altered a Terran woman's chemistry (it also affected the Drule hybrids)to where she would always desire the one who posessed her thusly. That Allura was Arun, didn't matter to Zarkon. He was sure it would work it's magic upon her.
Zarkon chuckled softly. Imagine Alfor's daughter unable to resist her father's enemy! If Allura hadn't drank the wine by the time he arrived, he would induce her to drink it, using Captain Akira as a wedge to insure her compliance. After all, Z'aale Zarkon reasoned, a willing woman is a pleasing woman... He smiled with anticipation as he contiued down the hallway.
