The Devil and the Angel
Zarkon grinned down at his seemingly lifeless son.
"Stupid, just like his mother, weak..."
"And YOU!!!" Zarkon whipped around to face Allura as her guard quickly moved aside.
"You've condemed yourself, your bastard child and Arus to DEATH!!!"
Zarkon's evil face was mere inches from hers, but Allura wasn't afraid, not anymore.
"Better death than to bear your hideous attentions!! At least we'll be with Lotor forever!" Allura voice rose, uncaring who heard.
"And let me tell one thing, Zarkon!!" Allura's hair was whipped around by a sudden gust of wind.
"Lotor is a MILLION TIMES better than you could EVER be - And I mean in ALL ways - get my drift?" Allura had never spoken that way in her entire sheltered life, but now there was nothing to lose, and soon she would join the prince she had always denied, their baby safe for eternity.
"WHY, YOU.....!!!" Zarkon suddenly grasped Allura's neck with both hands and squeezed.
Allura went down to her knees, trying to pry his hands away instinctively, but it was like a butterfly trying to best an elephant. Allura's strength was no match for Zarkon's.
The two were so engrosed in the life and death battle than they failed to notice several things - the crowd's tone had changed to one of screams and shrieks as they saw what was approaching. The sounds of the exiting crowd only added to the roar of blood in Zarkon. His lust, his need to destroy was narrowed down to the woman before him. Nothing else mattered but her death.
Voltron: Harbringer of Death and Justice
Voltron had landed feet first in the center of the Arena, impassively watching the crowds empty the huge complex like tiny ants leaving their mound.
Keith, Lance, Hunk and Pidge within Voltron were frustrated.
"Chief!" Hunk complained. "I'm pressing every button I got, but my leg ain't movin'!"
"Same here, Keith." Lance added."Nothin's working."
"Our spirit friend is at work...we are One with Voltron, damned if I - LOOK!!!!"
"Oh my god! Zarkon, the PRINCESS!" Pidge's reedy voice was high pitched with horror."
"I'LL TWIST THAT BASTARD'S HEAD OFF!!" Lance screamed as the rage seemed to envelope him.
"LANCE! We'll get Zarkon!" Keith yelled through the com."
"Screw you! I have the RIGHT!!! Bastard RAPED my mom, she had me!
Lance is Zarkon's SON? the shared thought resonated through Voltron, who still standing immobile as if waiting for something.
Let him. Black Lion's Voice suddenly said.It is his Destiny.
Two Brothers
Lance ran like he had never ran before across the Arena floor, his vision fixed on Zarkon's back. But as he ran, he saw another figure slowly rising behind Zarkon.
Lotor! The bastard who started all this. The - he's my half-brother!
Lance thought as he got closer.
He noticed the blood covering most of Lotor's body as the Drule leaped on Zarkon's back, trying to get a chokehold on him.
Fortunately this broke Zarkon's hold on Allura.
"Allura, RUN! Find Honevera!! She'll get you and the baby away from here!"Lotor cried out, trying to snap Zarkon's thick neck.
"NO, I CAN'T! I LOVE YOU!!!" Allura yelled back. Her eyes were wide, dialated. She couldn't see Lance, only Lotor. Such was her mental duress.
"GO!!!" Lotor grimaced. His injuries and his lack of food was underminding him.
"WHELP!! DIE ALREADY!!!" This time it was Zarkon's turn to struggle.
Something shiny caught Lance's eye.
A blade...
...take it...
Lance felt the heft of the blade, the slickness of blood - Lotor's blood...
My brother.
Zarkon's back was still turned. Lance quietly came behind him, his eyes blank, unseeing.
Now.
"AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!" Zarkon suddenly screamed as Lance stabbed the blade at the base of his spine, not quite severing it, but enough to paralyze. He and Lotor fell in a heap, but Allura, who still seemed to be in shock, helped Lotor up and away from Zarkon. As soon as Lotor saw Lance, her eyes widened.
"You?" Lotor said as he tried to ignore his pain.
"Yeah." Lance replied.
"Lo - tor..." A raspy voice from the bloodied floor attracted his attention. Lotor looked down impassively at the demon who he had once claimed as father.
"My - son..."
Lance rolled his eyes. "Geez, NOW you're his SON?"
"I really don't want your comments, human." Lotor glared at Lance.
"You should. I not only saved your blue ass - "
"But the son of a bitch is my father too!"
Lotor and Allura stared wide eyed at Lance.
"I thought I saw a - resemblance - human." Lotor quipped.
"Heh heh heh..." Zarkon tried to laugh at Lance's confession.
"SHUT UP!" Lance yelled. "Wanna flip a coin to see who offs him, 'brother?'
Before Lotor could respond, a Voice reverberated from -
Voltron.
Final Judgement
"Leave him. Come to your post, Lancelot. Allura of Arus, take you and your beloved mate to the Blue Lion. There his wounds shall be treated..." Black Lion, or rather the head, spoke.
"What - is - this?" Lotor's eyes narrowed.
"Yeah, we can't leave Zarkon ALIVE." Lance glared down at Zarkon who continued to repeat in a raspy whisper, "My - sons...my sons..."
"GO, all of you else you'll be caught in the malstrom..."
"Lotor..." Allura said. "We better do this. You too, Lance."
Without a word, the small group ran to where Voltron stood. As soon as everyone was within, the eyes of Voltron came alive as the giant launched himself into the air, and formed the blazing sword. As Voltron hovered above, Zarkon's eyes widened with fear - true terrifying fear.
"Hag - gar...HAGAR!...uhhh...Save me, witch..." Zarkon couldn't move, but he saw Voltron looming closer and closer.
Even Hagar had abandoned him.
Within the right leg of Voltron - the Blue Lion, Lotor collasped as soon as the hatch closed.
"Lotor!" Allura was quick in trying to help him up.
"I'm all right - my sweet. Need to get to the - cockpit. See the - end."
"No, you need to lay down!" Allura tried to lead him towards the rear compartment of Blue Lion, but he wouldn't budge.
"Got to see - end...love."
"You're bleeding to death! Lotor!" Allura cried out.
"You always were a stubborn brat." A familar voice said.
"HAGAR!?" Lotor's eye were wide with astonishment, as were Allura's.
The vision of the hag faded into Honevera. She looked at the two and shook her regal head.
"Love is insanity...You were right, Allura, about my 'good side. You and Lotor come into the cockpit and witness the End of Doom. Lotor, stand still and let me heal your wound. You won't miss a thing."
Seconds, minutes, hours, eons. Voltron, possessed by the All, and the One True, arched up into the air and struck the very center of the Arena. Questions, seemingly billions of question went through Voltron's neurals, but the One knew what He was doing.
"Lotor..." Honevera said almost causually,"Do you remember a certain place where we hid the lazon from the Alliance?"
Lotor, who marvelled at his healing, snapped, "What a stupid quest - Oh...it's - by the gods - HERE!" He exclaimed.
"Wha -?" Allura asked.
"Remember, my sweet. I sent Doom Castle along with it's surrounding area, after the Fleet disaster? That's why it couldn't be found."
"A mobile hiding place..." Allura said breathlessly.
"Now on Planet Doom itself." Honevera turned away from the two. "this is why Voltron is headed out into open space."
"Doom." Lotor said under his breath, an odd sadness in his heart.
Long Live the King
For a moment, Zarkon was silent. He knew he was going to die, his Empire along with him, but that did not deter his venomous soul.
"A curse...a curse I put on all that is Good..."
The ground started to tremble, but Zarkon couldn't feel it.
"Doom will return - my seed shall AVENGE -"
..............WHOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM!!!
Planet Doom was gone.
Epilogue
To say that everything turned out happily after would be cliche, but in the years after Doom's destruction and the reclaiming of Arus, the planet had a Renaisance of freedoom, restoration of their past technology, but most of all, there was peace and prosperity as Queen Allura and her Consort Prince, Lotor wed, Aruns cheered at the birth of their son, Prince Alaine. Many other children followed, thus securing the royal line.
In time, the horrific events faded into history. Soon, Voltron 'retired.' Peace spread throughout the Galaxy.
As One: Allura and Lotor
"I loved you from the first time I saw you." Lotor whispered in Allura's ear as they cuddled in their huge bed.
"I admit, um...well." Allura smiled.
"Yeesss...my Princess?" Lotor's voice sounded quite amused.
"Come now, say it. I KNOW you want to admit it." Lotor said smugly.
"I thought you were such a arrogant JERK!" Allura tossed a pillow at her husband."
"Me?" Lotor teased, then said, "I was - more than...that."
"But this is now, pretty boy." Allura brazenly crawled on top of Lotor's nude body, letting the tips of her breasts tease his broad chest.
"Does my Queen require my attention?" Lotor managed to say, despite his obvious desire for her.
"Yess..." Allura gave her husband a passionate kiss even she drew himself within herself. They were One.
Time passed. Days, months,years, centuries.
Arus and it's Legends grew.
A Princess and her Lion Knights, Voltron, Doom, Honevera, Hagar, Zarkon, the Great Judgement of Planet Doom, now no more...
Or was it?
It started out as a rock, space debris really, the remains of a planet, long forgotten in the Millenium of Peace. Quietly, through through the ages, the insignifigant rock eventually grew into a planet.
Time passed on,both finite and infinite...
Booted feet encased in elegant black leather stepped out of the one man ship. The man, with his beatiful azure skin and dark handsome looks, was every bit an officer and nobleman. His was the only House that definitely was descended from the legendary Zarkon, and so he was very arrogant as befitted his future destiny.
The cold wind whipped at his unusual ebony hair, which was tied back in an elegant queue. His sensual lips smiled slightly.
For the first time since he had left his catawaling family on Planet Tyrus, Eb'onn du' Taal'l felt at home.
Final Judgement
This fanfiction was originally started in 1998. It was 'put down' a lot, and even lost for a time. Real life also intervened a bit, but as of today, Friday, March 18, 2007, it's DONE.
