The Heart At Full Circle - Four

On Board The Revenge...

"You WHAT?" Hagar shrieked at Queequeg.

"Hey, it was Lafitte's idea!"

Lafitte countered. "Queequeg was shooting up the place trying to get the kid! How'd WE know?"

"Stupid, half-witted IDIOTS! You should have KNOWN a child - a DRULE child wouldn't have just appeared out of NOWHERE in the MIDDLE of SPACE!"

"Ya coulda been practicin'." Queequeg volunteered. Lafitte kicked him. "Ow!"

"You're NOT helping!" Lafitte hissed.

Hagar fumed. It was obvious that Lotor was a child again! But how? SHE certainly didn't have anything to do with it. She needed to think and she needed to let Zarkon know.

Actually Lotor as a child wouldn't be too bad. He'd be out of the way and Zarkon could simply take over Lotor's pirate fleet - in secret of course. There wouldn't be any annoying obsession over Princess Allura to get in the way either. The only problem was, for some reason she couldn't locate him through her magic. It was as if something was blocking it. She'd have to ask these two pinheads.

"Where did you send him?" Hagar scowled at the two.

"Ah - uh..Arus." Lafitte said slowly.

"Arus! ARUS?" Hagar cried. "Great! That means the princess has him!"

Hmm..a good and a bad thing. If the princess has him then she would probably give him refuge. She was soft hearted after all. Perhaps Lotor would cause Allura some trouble. He had been such a brat when he was a child. Oh, was he! Hagar chuckled a little.

No doubt at the very least she and the others would be distracted by his presence. Lotor's fleet without Lotor would be basically floating free - unless Zarkon took control of it. Yes. That would work. Lotor had been too much of a liability anyway because of his instability. Of course that would mean no great enemy for the pitiful Alliance to fight, but another one could be invented easily.
Still, she would need to inform Zarkon and convince him for now to just play dumb and use Lotor's absence to gain his fleet. He'd be able to lull the Alliance into thinking peace had been achieved. As for the Voltron Force and Lotor - well they would be taken care at the right time.

Hagar barked at Lafitte and Queequeg, "DON'T just stand there! Do what you're supposed to be doing."

They turned to leave and Hagar added, "And I would suggest that you walking tin cans NOT say a word about Lotor's little "transformation" or I will make sure that you're both melted down and used as the underside of the Revenge's sanitary systems - do you get my drift?"

"Yes, Mistress Hagar." Lafitte said.

"Uh, you mean the toilets?" Queequeg asked.

Lafitte sighed and yanked him away before Hagar could do any damage.

Hagar turned and went to her private chambers. She activated her crystal to contact Zarkon and fortunately she was able to reach him.

She cackled. She couldn't wait to see the expression on his face!

Meanwhile, on Arus:

"Lotor! Come BACK here!" Allura was chasing him down the hall.

"Don't wanna take a BATH!" he yelled, running as fast as he could.

"You're filthy!" Allura ran faster, gaining on him.

"Am not!" he giggled, skittering around a corner.

He promptly ran into Keith.

"Whoa there!" Keith stopped the small boy in his tracks. Allura caught up to them.

"Thanks, Keith." She took a kicking, screaming Lotor.

"Um..you need help with him, Allura?" Keith said.

"Lemme down! I'm a Prince! Don't NEED no bath!" Lotor yelled.

"Where HAS he been?" Keith asked. Lotor WAS filthy - caked in mud.

Allura smirked. "He was making mudmen at the edge of Castle Lake. It was a good thing he didn't venture in.."

"Who was watching him?"

"Pidge."

" Lura, you're pretty! Can ya lemme down now? I'll be good!" Lotor whined.

Allura suppressed the urge to laugh. Even at his young age, he tried to cajole and flatter his way out of everything.

"Hm..maybe you better let me take him." Keith said.

"No, I will. I've had to bathe squirmy four year olds before. Remember? The orphanage?" Allura smiled.

"Yeah, but they weren't a squirmy Drule." Keith actually cracked a smile.

" 'Lura!!! Lemme DOWN!"

"No! I am not letting you down - except in the tub! Keith, if you'll excuse us."

Keith nodded and watched them go down the hall.
