Blind Faith:Twenty-One

Serious Play

Another day of frustration - at least for Allura. She simply could not find what was wrong with the ship, at least according to the diagnostics. They were just basically stuck in the middle of nowwhere - well a NICE nowhere, but still they both had to face what they had left behind. Lotor WOULD have to face justice and she, well, ever since being attacked by Alliance ships, she was sure that she too, would have to face the consequences.

Allura sighed and got up out of the ship's cramped quarters and walked back the short distance to their campsite. They slept in the cramped quarters of the ship, but their campsite extended outward from the ship's parimeter.

"Lotor?" Allura shouted. He was nowhere in sight.

Now where could he be?

"Lotor? Where ARE you?" Allura shouted again.

"Right here! I'm blind, NOT deaf, Princess.." Lotor came out of the lush vegetation. Allura, much to her embarrassment, saw him adjusting his pants and flushed. She guessed what he had been doing and so didn't ask. She knew he probably had a call of nature and did not want to use the facilities on the ship.

"Um, I think I will take advantage of that lagoon." She said lamely. "But DON'T you DARE follow me!" Allura warned.

"Me? Follow you? Never!" He grinned wickedly.

"Ha, suuuure.." Allura crossed her arms.

"Don't worry, my sweet. It's not as if I can see that delectable body of yours."

Allura promptly hit him angrily. "I KNEW that was all you thought of me as!"

Lotor frowned. "And as I said once, you don't know me, princess. You'd be surprised at what I think about you - what I feel about you."

Allura stalked off without another word, went to the ship and retrieved some toiletries.

"And don't you DARE follow me!" Allura yelled as she stomped past him.

"Oh don't worry about that, ICE Princess. It's too chilly for ME." Lotor smirked and then used his staff to go in the opposite direction.

As she walked to the lagoon, Allura's temper seemed to subside. Now WHY did she get so angry over that? It was true, he would have never seen anything of her, but instead she just picked an arguement for no reason. Was it that she was feeling things she shouldn't feel for him? He seemed a little bit different in this place. More quiet and thoughtful. Was it his lack of vision that did this or was it the old memories that haunted him?

When I get back, I will apologize.. Allura thought as she reached the lagoon. Right now I need to just relax and not think of anything.

She looked around and of course she saw no one. She stripped out of her clothing and daintily stepped into the water. To her surprise, it was warm and not cold at all. She sank into the water, dipped under and got herself wet. She then went to where her soap and towel were over along the bank and started to scrub herself with the soap. Already she could feel the grime coming off of her. Oh, she was clean from the sonic shower, but there was nothing really like bathing in water and cleaning with soap. She felt a tickle at her ankles and looked down. Lotor had said that there were small fish in this lagoon. She giggled as they tickled her ankles, but went back to her bathing.

The tickling resumed again, but she ignored it. Suddenly she was jerked down hard into the water! She screamed in shock but she went under and of course her scream was muffled. Someone was pulling her down! Quite abruptly she was let up again, gasping and spitting out water. When her vision cleared, she saw just who her attacker was.

"LOTOR!!" Allura looked at him in shock.

He was grinning like a mainiac at her, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

"You son-of-a-bitch!" Allura both tried to hit him and splash him with water.

"Hey!" Lotor couldn't see her clearly, but he could see her hands moving and so reflexively, he grabbed her wrists.

"How did you get here!" Allura fumed. "And I TOLD you not to follow me!"

"I didn't follow you, I took another path! I'm getting to know this place well - even without eyes." Lotor was gloating. "Besides, this IS a free lagoon, you know."

"You're so insufferable!" Allura glared at him.

"Am I?" Lotor took a whiff of her clean scent. It seemed so much stronger now.

"YES!" Allura wanted to kick him. He had scared the wits out of her!

"I only wanted to say I was sorry for back there." Lotor's voice was soft and low.

Allura blinked. Lotor sorry? She was the one who started it. Suddenly she felt quite guilty.

"I - I don't know why I picked a fight with you back there, Lotor. I'm sorry too." She searched his face.

"Really?" He moved a little closer. Suddenly Allura was made aware that HE wasn't wearing a stitch and neither was SHE.

"Uh, Lotor, I - we.." She stammered, feeling unaccountably warm all over.

He drew her close and the press of their bodies made Allura gasp and then feel quite tingly everywhere.

"Lotor, I - " Allura wanted to pull away, but then again she DIDN'T want to!

"Allura." Lotor said softly as his lips covered her own in a soft kiss. Allura trembled a little, so unsure. An excitement seemed to hold her in it's grip. What she was feeling made her schoolgirl crush on Keith seem like nothing at all. He broke the kiss and he looked at her, or rather looked through her. He frowned a little.

"I can't see your face clearly, but even if I could never see it again, you would always be beautiful to me."

Allura flushed a little.

"I've thought about why you saved me." Lotor said softly. "And I've realized that your beauty is more than on the surface. You saved me even though you hated me and thought me a monster. This I don't understand."

"It's - compassion, Lotor." Allura didn't want to leave his embrace, even though the random thought occured to her that Nanny, if she saw them like this would keel over and die!

"Is that all it is?" He said sadly. "I just - " He sighed softly. "Perhaps I am as you say, no better than my father. To think that once I bragged that that I would be more evil than he!"

"Don't say that!" Allura's eyes blazed with anger. "You're not like your father, believe me. You can change if you want to Lotor."

"I can change with you by my side." Lotor kissed her lips briefly.

"You can change period." Allura said resolutely. "You don't need me."

"I do." Lotor drew her close again, feeling her flesh next to his was just short of a miracle.

"Lotor, we - I - " Allura's words were cut off by another kiss. This one was more demanding, but not forceful. She felt herself lost in his full lips, the way his hands roamed over her back and her waist. Pressed against him like this was heaven.

"Let me love you." Lotor said when he broke the kiss. "Whatever happens - and I know it will, just once, let me love you, not just physically, Allura, but...gods, I can't seem to put it into words..."

Allura bit her lip. She could feel his desire, and the fact that she didn't draw away from it scared her a little. A part of her wanted him to love her, to draw close and perhaps draw him away from that dark side that had always plagued him, but another part was aware of her duties and her responsibilties.

"Lotor, I - can't." Allura tried to draw away. "I've never.."

"I would be gentle with you.."

"I - don't even know you!" Allura's tone was one of panic and Lotor recognized it.

"You're - right." He said softly. Years ago, it never stopped him. He would take a slave girl without knowing her name. Only his physical pleasure had been important. At one time he would have taken Allura that way too, but now..

Allura incredibly felt his hold loosen upon her and she felt both a relief and a disappointment.

He sighed softly. "You say that I am nothing like my father, then I suppose that I will prove it." He smiled slightly and drew away from her, feeling for the bank and then hoisting himself out of the water.

Oh he's so - Allura couldn't help but look at his body, the way he moved, the play of his muscles. Lotor felt for his clothes and put his pants on and then felt for the staff he had leaned against a nearby tree. He turned his head and looked in her direction even though Allura knew he could not see her properly.

"Enjoy your bath, princess.." He bowed slightly and then turned and made his way from where he came.

But of course Allura could not. She was totally distracted by the way he had held her and the feelings she had felt. She had seen a gentleness in him that had been lost when they had battled with one another.

A part of her regretted that she had turned down his offer, but a part of her knew it was the wrong time - at least right now.
